Technical indicators Kabra surfaces
Kabra's Technical tab inside the Equity Research Suite shows momentum, trend, volume, and volatility indicators per ticker. The same indicators feed the Quant Terminal's model ensemble and Agent Swarm's decision context.
Momentum indicators
Measure the rate of change in price. Kabra uses these to gauge how fast a move is accelerating or losing steam.
RSI (Relative Strength Index)
Oscillator from 0 to 100; values above 70 suggest overbought, below 30 oversold.
MACD
Moving Average Convergence Divergence — shows momentum shifts and trend changes via two EMAs.
Stochastic oscillator
Compares the close to a range over a lookback — another overbought/oversold reading.
Rate of Change (ROC)
Percent change over a fixed lookback — direct momentum measure.
Trend indicators
Identify direction and strength. Kabra layers these onto chart patterns for confluence checks.
Moving averages (SMA / EMA)
Smoothed price — trend direction and dynamic support/resistance.
ADX (Average Directional Index)
Measures trend strength regardless of direction; values above 25 indicate a trending market.
Parabolic SAR
Dotted marks above or below price — flips with the trend and flags potential reversal.
Ichimoku cloud
Composite indicator showing support, resistance, trend, and momentum in one view.
Volume & volatility
Quantify conviction behind price moves. Kabra surfaces these as part of the Technical tab for every ticker.
OBV (On Balance Volume)
Cumulative volume by direction — confirms or contradicts price moves.
VWAP
Volume-weighted average price — intraday benchmark for institutional participation.
ATR (Average True Range)
Measures volatility — useful for stop sizing and position sizing.
Bollinger Bands
Price channel based on standard deviation — flags expansions and contractions in volatility.
